Five Cubed

This Lovely Johnson (link to pic coming soon- not what you think) was actually the 25th that Johnson Boat in Minnesota works produced circa 1995.[WAIT! that's only five squared! Yes by the first boat out of the molds was christened hull number 101so what are you going to do about it?] She sails mostly on Round Bay on Wednesday nights in the RBSA races. She was sold to her original owner in 1995 and lived in Miami until fall of 2004, when she was traded for currency as chattel and ignoblely strapped to a northbound trailer and dragged North to the Severn River and the flats at Sherwood Forest.  There she found an October dunking of her entire rig in the chilly brackish waters of the Severn river on the her very first tack under new command...the next sailing she did was on a frothy March morning with three dunderheads aboard, looking to catch their demises...and were blissfully unaware of their relative proximity thereto until loading her back on her rusty trailer.  The cold crept up their legs following the dutiful veins and from their wetted ankles and calves like evil itself, an achy chilly intoxicant which if allowed to proceed would have certainly crippled the spirits and brain functions of those knuckleheads. Okay enough of that crap. Five Cubed races and prefers 15-20 knots of wind. Check the resume.

Also if you want to review the "turquoise years" go here.  same boat, 1995 look.
